💡 About the Cause
The Spina Bifida Association of Arizona (SBAAZ) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1978, dedicated to helping families build a brighter future for children living with Spina Bifida — a lifelong condition with no cure.
Because Spina Bifida is not considered a developmental disability in Arizona, families often rely on community support like this toy drive to fill vital gaps.
Babies with Spina Bifida are born with a neural tube defect, which can result in limited mobility and multiple surgeries — often 15 to 40 procedures before age 15. Yet, with strong parenting and supportive communities, many grow up to lead full, successful lives — pursuing higher education, careers, advocacy, and family life.
Each December, SBAAZ hosts a Holiday Party for these families, fostering connection, empowerment, and joy. 🎄
Your toy donations will be shared at this event to help kick off a bright holiday season for local children and their families!
